- Acyclovir 5mg/g, cream

This is a medicine containing acyclovir, used for the treatment of fever blister and recurrent genital infections, which are caused by Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). This drug belongs to a pharmacotherapeutic group of medicines called antivirals. Its mechanism of action is to kill or stop the growth of the virus that causes labial or genital herpes.

Mode of administration: Cutaneous use (topical application).
Dosage: Apply the cream, with the help of your finger, so as to completely cover the affected area including the outer edge of the vesicles. Apply to the affected area 5 times a day, i.e. every 4 hours.
