IBRUFENIX®

- Ibuprofen 400mg, tablets


It is a medicine containing the active substance ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) derived from propionic acid. Its mechanism of action is felt through the relief of pain (analgesic), reduction of inflammation (anti-inflammatory) and reduction of fever (antipyretic). It is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as toothache, headache, muscle aches, earache or backache; mild injuries such as sprains and strains; cold and flu symptoms; post-immunisation pyrexia; fever of various aetiologies.


Mode of administration: Oral use.
Dosage: Dosage depends on the severity of the pain or fever and the individual sensitivity of response to Ibrufenix®. The lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to relieve symptoms should be used. The total dose should not exceed 1200 mg ibuprofen in a 24-hour period.


- Ibuprofen 20mg/ml, syrup

Dosage: The dose of ibuprofen to be administered depends on the age and body weight of the child. The recommended dose is:
Children aged 3 months - 2 years (5 - 12kg): 1.5 ml - 3m
Children aged 3 - 5 years (13 - 19 kg): 3.5 ml - 5ml
Children aged 6 - 9 years (30 - 29 kg): 5 ml - 7.5ml
Children aged 10 - 12 years (30 - 43 kg): 7.5 ml - 11ml
