- Furosemide 20mg/2ml, solution for injection or infusion

This medicine belongs to a group called loop diuretics. Furosemide helps you eliminate more water (urine) than usual. This medicine is used to treat edema associated with heart disease, pulmonary edema, liver disease, kidney disease, burns and, in some cases, to treat high blood pressure.

Mode of administration: Intramuscular or intravenous use.
Dosage:
Adults and elderly: The initial dose is 20mg to 50mg. This dose will be gradually increased to a maximum dose of 1500mg per day.
Children: The dose normally used varies between 0.5mg and 1.5mg/kg of body weight per day.
